Fundraise for Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI
THANK YOU for considering fundraising for LLNI. Over the last 6 decades, the charity has raised around £15 million to fund life-changing blood cancer research and the majority of funding has come from you – the NI community.
Without the incredible efforts of all our supporters across the province, holding cake sales, jumping out of planes, selling plants & flowers, hosting pub quizzes, doing abseils and running, cycling and swimming long and short distances, we simply would not be able to support all the brilliant innovative medical research that we do.
The money raised stays local, to help local blood cancer patients. And in fact, blood cancer research often also has positive outcomes for other forms of cancer too – chemotherapy, for example, was borne of blood cancer research and is now widely used across all forms of cancer.

Why not include a picture of yourself and a few words about exactly why you’re supporting Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI
2Set yourself a fundraising target
Fundraisers with targets raise up to 45% more. Once you hit your target, put it up so people give even more!
3Raise brand awareness
Share facts about blood cancer so people have a really clear understanding of the amazing difference their donation will make.
4Ask your friends and family
People tend to match previous donations, so ask your loved ones to sign up first and set the bar high.
5Spread the word
Don’t be shy! Tell everyone what you’re doing through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram / add link in your email signature.
6Make the most of payday
Everyone feels generous after payday, so remember to share your page at the end of the month. Check with your employer if they have a matched giving scheme which could double your funds.

LLNI have been supporting me from the beginning of my career and have been invaluable to my development as a scientist. Their funding has allowed me to be ambitious with my experiments which in turn has enabled me to network and present my research at conferences both at home and abroad, connecting with world experts. I have gained so much from my time here in the haematology department at Queens and it is all thanks to LLNI’s support.
Don’t forget Gift-Aid
If your sponsors are UK taxpayers, ask them to tick the Gift Aid box when making a donation. This allows us to claim at least 25p from the government for every £1 donated. You can download and print a gift-aid form here.
