Project Fund

This fund is designed to support research proposals to fund consumables, equipment and project staff or research time. While it is not envisaged these awards will fund full time research staff, we will consider applications with staffing resources alongside other project costs. Proposals for part funding will be considered, as long as match funding has already been secured

We hope this investment will allow PI’s to conduct further research into a key scientific discovery, to progress the research towards kinder, more effective treatments or understand more about the causes of blood cancers.

This fund is open to researchers in any academic institution in Northern Ireland or any clinical researcher within the HSC in Northern Ireland.

Funding award: £30,000 – £75,000

1. Review and submit the Guidelines & Triage Application Form.
2. One deadline per year – next deadline 14th May 2026.
3. Triage assessed by Scientific & Medical Advisory Committee.
4. Shortlisted proposals offered 4 weeks to submit full application.
5. 2 external assessments: Peer Review & SMAC Meeting
6. Application assesssed by Board of Trustees.
7. Applicants advised of decision within 3 months of full proposal deadline.
