Education Fund

We want to enable diagnostic staff working in haematology laboratories to research and develop possible new processes and techniques within blood cancer diagnosis.

We hope this will enable learning about new methods and approached to haematology diagnosis, improving the quality and ranges of diagnostic testing for patients with suspected blood cancer.

This fund is open to staff currently employed in haematology diagnostic laboratories in any of the five health trusts within Northern Ireland, who wish to complete a Master’s level qualification which incorporates a project focussed on haematology.

Funding award: Up to £4,000

1. Review and complete the Guidelines & Application Form.
2. Application deadline 1st May 2026
3. Application assessed by the Scientific & Medical Advisory Committee.
4. Decision made at Board of Trustees meeting.
5. Applicants advised of decision June 2026.
