Looking for a new challenge for 2026?
What about raising money for blood cancer by doing your first Hyrox race?
Hyrox is a new sport that combines running with functional exercise stations.
Participants run 1 km followed by a functional exercise, repeated eight times, making it a unique fitness competition. It is designed to improve cardiovascular health, build muscle, and burn fat, appealing to everyday gym- goers by bridging traditional endurance events with functional fitness.
Hyrox has gained popularity as a mass participation event, offering a structured race format for individuals and ‘doubles’ across all fitness levels.
Unfortunately the Belfast Hyrox planned for March has been cancelled, however there are other Hyrox challenges in Ireland and across the UK in Glasgow, London and Cardiff in March, and internationally.
Alpha Hyrox is Ireland’s Largest Hyrox Sim and the first in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh (Cork). With previous events being such a huge success, this is back again and bigger than ever.
If you would like to take part in one to raise money for LLNI, sign up on directly for the Hyrox of your choice, then let us know by emailing us on info@llni.co.uk and we will send you an exercise top to wear and can give you some fun fundraising tips to help you get donations to keep you motivated!
