PhD Fund

We want to invest in early-career researchers, to enable them to conduct a dedicated 3 year lab based research project, to improve understanding of disease biology, how blood cancer develops or how to treatments affect the disease.

PhD study will help improve understanding of blood cancers, leading to better or kinder treatments or potential prevention or cures.

This fund is open to principal investigators employed by Queen’s University Belfast. PI’s primarily work within the Johnston Cancer Research Centre, but applications are open to PI’s working in other QUB research centres, if the project has a clear and sole focus on blood cancer research. 

Up to £108,000 will be awarded.

The PhD fund is managed through the annual QUB PhD process.
