Jill Adams and daughter Cathy help to celebrate Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI’s year-long #99RedBalloons campaign at the Giant’s Causeway.

Every day 3 people in Northern Ireland are diagnosed with a blood cancer such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Jill’s family organise an annual sponsored walk in Portrush on 27 December in memory of her sister, Lynda Giffin, who died from leukaemia in 1988.

Now in its 27th year, the walk in December 2014 raised £5,300- bringing the grand total raised so far to a massive £170,000.
